Changelog
- v1.02
- Major Changes:
- The ending of the game had been changed significantly. The three ways of escaping the time loop are the same, but now the day after you get free is longer and more fleshed out. Rather than having one conversation with Marnie in the park and then the game ends, you now spend an entire day with Marnie and Celebi.
- If you do the date in the park at the start of the morning, you have the option to bring Celebi with you to the pokémon tournament instead of battling with Cacturne.
- The battle in Phil's back yard plays out a little differently. While it ends the same as before, the way in which the good guys win is a little more dramatic and fits better with the rest of the game and story.
- Not sure what else to say without spoiling things. Just play the game I guess.
- Minor Changes:
- Revised the conversation in the morning after having sex to be a little longer and deeper ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) so it feels less like we're in a rush to get past talking about our relationship.
- Added dialog in a few places, mainly earlier in the game, where the player is called out on being a passive wimp so he have a little more growth as a person during the story.
- Added some conversation where Marnie balks at the player's lack of patriotism and general apathy, further servicing the above.
- Revised some lines talking about the wars of the past to make it clearer that we're talking about the general history of warfare and not referring WWII or any other specific real-world war.
- Cut a line that mentioned Kalosians "surrendering all the time" because it was pointless French slander, especially coming from Marnie.
- Made some revisions in a few places where it looks like the story is setting up a future plot thread, so it doesn't look like the story is setting up something that never pays off. This includes the tourist vandalizing the tomb in Les Invalides; going camping out in the wilderness; Team Rocket's package being left in the visitors center; and some others. This doesn't affect the actual plot of the game, but now it looks less like the game has a ton of abandoned story threads.
- Tiny details:
- Fixed an issue where some sound effects wouldn't obey the volume slider in the preferences screen. The tl;dr explanation here is that some sound effects play on a "sound_b" audio channel, but that channel wasn't controlled by the sound volume slider. Now it is.
- Fixed an issue with the game not playing music during your third visit to Sycamore's lab.
- Fixed an inconsistency with the amount of time the doctors want to keep watching Exeggutor. (Thank you Ryogus)
- Marnie uses the word "biscuits" instead of "cookies."
- Changed the stated weight of the Adamant Orb. The originally measurements were from before I had art for it and they ended up not really being realistic.
- Fixed a lot of minor typos throughout the game. I used a different spellchecking tool, which has a better understanding of when to use semicolons, so the game now has more of those too.
